Rape vs Being secretly Recorded during sex.

 A few weeks ago I’m not sure how many people seen the video or the persons talking about the situation but a young lady, they were in another city, joined this couple in a 3-some. From the video (I did not see) according to the people in the comments she was clearly extremely intoxicated but she was “down” for everything. According to the comments you could hear the sober or more sober female instructing her boyfriend on what to do with the extremely intoxicated woman because she was so drunk, things like to pick her up and how to lay her. The more sober female was recording the whole act. After the young woman joined the couple and had sex with them they (the internet) said the intoxicated female woke up (not sure if it was the next morning , a few days later or a week later) to her video being posted all over social media. The female from the couple was even charging people to get into her close friends on ig to see the video. 

So here is the dilemma. Here is where the twisted part come in at. The intoxicated female from that night supposedly threatened the couple telling them that if they did not take the video down in Which she didn’t even kbow she was being recorded she would scream they raped her. I’m not sure if the video was taken down right away or not but the young lady indeed filed a report on being recorded without permission and being raped. 

A gossip page on ig released this story and what made me want to blog on this topic is because the comments on the post was so unbelievable, they were disgusting! Many people who saw the video and knew she was 1. Extremely intoxicated and 2. Heard something in the video confirming she may have been illegally recorded were disregarding the fact that these things were true because they felt like she was falsely screaming rape. Some people were saying they didn’t feel sorry because she was “down” for everything, or there were times when they felt she was looking directly in the camera and they felt she k ew what she was doing or the fact she didn’t want to stop or never told the couple to stop. Some felt like okay she may have been illegally recorded but she should not try to destroy someone with a rape accusation. 

Here is my stance on it. 

I 100% agree accusing someone of rape or should I say FALSELY ACCUSING someone of rape is disgusting! That is not okay and it shouldn’t be used as a threat to get what you want or to manipulate a situation BUT being recorded especially in a sexual act is also bad and it causes some of the same internal and personal damage rape do. I wish the young lady knew that saying she was recorded without permission alone holds weight and stand tall with the law, she didn’t have to mention rape to have something done to this couple who not only had sex with an incompetent intoxicated female but they recorded it and also POSTED IT on social media. 

For anyone who don’t know in the state of Florida (where this took place) “people cannot consent to sex if they are “mentally incapacitated” by drugs or alcohol. ... regardless of your gender.” Also, “In Florida, secret recordings are illegal. All parties being recorded must consent.” So in the state of Florida BOTH of these acts are ILLEGAL. Meaning she didn’t have to scream rape holing for justice! 

I don’t think any act can compare or almost compare, almost feel like rape. In this situation being secretly recorded, while extremely intoxicated, and seeing yourself having not only sex but a three some by scrolling your tl on social media can have some damaging effects on your mental also. You may feel embarrassed, ashamed, angry, damaged, worthless, and self esteem issues, among many others. Having a recorded secret get out to the public you didn’t even know something you did had a playback button and was being played without your consent or knowledge is damaging. 

I think she may have been so drunk that played a part in initially joining the threesome. 

She was in Miami maybe she was doing something daring or out of the norm for herself. Maybe it was an act she always did. For her to end up in the room with them, engaging in the act, never saying stop somewhere in there she said yes. BUT the couple should have known or even thought twice about getting “consent” from an extremely intoxicated person, because her “yes I’m down” was not legally or official consent. I do think once she woke up and seen herself on the internet like that, she got angry and acted on that anger. Is the rape accusation horrible? YES! but being illegally recorded is bad also!
